Quick Things you Should Know
1. Your appointment will take about 2-3 hours.
2. Results vary greatly from client to client.
3. Please do not expect your results to look like a friends, a co workers, or anyone's. You are unique, your results are unique, and if you're expecting your results to look identical to someone else's, I'm not the artist for you.
4. The human body and face are naturally asymmetrical. This applies to everyone. When it comes to the face you may have more muscle tone and volume on one side of your face, and the other less volume or less muscle tone, drooping skin, muscle pull, etc. - this alters the appearance of the brows. Some brows naturally have more hair than the other, longer than the other, different hair growth patterns, etc. Some people are more asymmetrical than others, and that is okay! Our job is to create the illusion of symmetry however, because of these reasons, 100% symmetry is not realistic. Our job is to get your brows as close to even as possible. If you are looking for 100% symmetry, permanent makeup may not be right for you.
5. During the first 4 weeks of your initial appointment your brows will go through MANY changes, this is NORMAL!
6. Most of my clients carry on about their day right after leaving the studio. Downtime is very minimal.
7. Your Touch up Session in 8 weeks is separate from your first session with a Touch Up Session fee. If you need additional touch ups, a touch up charge or tray fee will apply for each. Some individuals may need a third session.
8. Color Boost touch ups do not include additional touch ups. If you need additional touch ups, a touch up charge will apply for each.
9. There are no guarantees or warranties with any permanent makeup service.
Prepare for your appointment
Pre- Care Instructions
For your safety and to achieve optimal results, please adhere to these instructions and requirements. Failure to follow any or all of the above requirements, including pre-care, or having any of the conditions mentioned in the contraindications, will result in being turned away from your appointment and incurring a cancellation fee.
_ (OPTIONAL) You may arrive to your appointment with your eyebrows filled in as you like. I will take into account the shape you like, but will also share my input & suggestions according to your natural shape & features. We will work together to reach the desired shape.
_ I will shape & clean up your brows. If you do have someone you see for brow clean up please wait at least 10 days after your procedure before having your brows waxed or threaded.
_ Be sure to stay away from SUN or tanning bed exposure for 30 days PRIOR to & AFTER your procedure. If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from sunburn, it will take the pigment with it. Also, pigment will heal darker on the skin that is tanned.
_ Keep in mind & make an effort not to sweat the day of your procedure or for 10 days after. Sweat contains salt, which will prematurely fade the pigment in the skin. You need to consider this if you lead a very active lifestyle.
_ Do not take anything that will thin your blood such as aspirin, niacin, Vitamin E, Fish oil supplements or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary 72 hours prior to procedure. Tylenol is acceptable.
_ If you have been on the prescription ACCUTANE, you must be off of it for ONE YEAR prior to your procedure. No exceptions!
_ No alcohol or caffeine 48 hours prior to and on the day of your procedure.
_ Having the procedure during your menstrual cycle may make you more sensitive to discomfort during your procedure.
_ If you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Graves disease, or have Thryroid issues PLEASE be aware that this may affect your sensitivity tolerance to the procedure, and may affect your final healed results.
_ If you are a smoker, your pigment will fade faster and the topical anesthetics used during the treatment will not last as long.
_ If you arrive for your procedure with any abrasion, blemish, skin irritation, bruising, scabbing, skin rash or mole in the area that is to be tattooed, I will not do the procedure. No exceptions. You will lose your deposit and require another deposit to re-book another appointment.
_ This procedure will NOT be performed if you are pregnant or nursing.
_ Bleaching or tinting the eyebrow hairs with tints containing peroxide will affect your tattoo and is not recommended.
_ Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 1 month prior to procedure for those that do not regularly receive injections. Those who do regularly receive injections must wait 2 weeks minimum.
_ Avoid using : Retin A, Retinols, Glycolic acids (or any type of acids meant to resurface your skin), lightening products such as Hydroquinone, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, facials, or Photo Facials (IPL’S) 4 weeks before the appointment.
_ Important Note- I must know if you are under the care of a Doctor for any medical condition. I must also know of any prescription medications you are on. If this pertains to you, please email me through the link on this website.
_ If required (I will let you know in advance if applicable), you must provide a doctors approval letter the day of the procedure. If the letter isn't provided you will not be serviced and you will have forfeited your deposit. A new deposit and new appointment will be required.
_ We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for those to those who fail to follow our Pre and Post Care Instructions. Failing to follow the above instructions will result in your artist denying your service and possibly future services. There are no implied or written guarantees, especially if you do not follow instructions!

Aftercare Instructions
For your safety and to achieve optimal results, please adhere to these instructions and requirements. Failure to follow any or all of the above requirements, including pre-care, or having any of the conditions mentioned in the contraindications, will result in being turned away from your appointment and incurring a cancellation fee.
TRUST THE PROCESS
DAY ONE
-
Your eyebrows will appear BOLDER immediately after the procedure. This applies in every procedure. Hair strokes appear crisp and bold until the top layer of pigment begins to exfoliate off around day four.
-
Blot your brows to remove any excess lymph fluid with a dry and clean kleenex or similar material. Be gentle. This should be done every 30 minutes for the next 4 hours AFTER the procedure. Not doing so may result in poor retention & extremely thick scab formation.
-
At the end of day one, gently wash your brows using the provided cleanser or alternative gentle unscented antibacterial cleanser/soap, then rinse with cool water. Pat dry with a kleenex. Be sure to wash your hands prior to touching your brows. Never touch your brows without washing your hands first.
DAY 2-14
-
With clean hands, GENTLY wash the area with the provided aftercare cleanser or unscented antibacterial soap & cool water using ONLY your finger tips. Blot dry with a tissue. Once completely dry you may apply a RICE size amount of ointment, such as afterInked, PMU ointment, or Aquaphor, unless otherwise told
-
Wash your brows twice a day.
-
Apply ointment as needed.
-
Make sure the area is always completely dry before using a RICE size amount of ointment. Do not apply too much ointment as it can suffocate your skin & negatively affect the healing process.
AVOID FOR THE NEXT 14-30 DAYS:
-
No use of saunas or steam (includes steamy showers) for 2wks
-
Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treatment area. Picking can cause scarring & pigment loss!
-
Let any scabs or dry skin shed off naturally.
-
No swimming, saunas, hot tubs, and jacuzzis for 2wks.
-
No makeup or skincare products for 2wks.
-
Do not tint brows for 2wks post procedure
-
After 2wks, if needed you may apply SPF.
-
Avoid sleeping on your face for 10 days.
-
Avoid sweating for 10 days, this can cause pigment to expel from the skin & cause poor pigment retention, producing poor results.
-
Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for 4wks. This can cause pigment to change color while healing, pigment loss, and can also cause hyperpigmentation &/or scarring.
-
Avoid professional/facials on or near treatment area for 30 days to prevent fading
-
Avoid using any exfoliating products or products that contain Retin-A, AHA, Glycolic Acids for 30 days.
-
Avoid using any products that contain fragrances or irritating ingredients.
-
Avoid using products with skin lightening ingredients.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
-
Scabbing is normal! Some may scab more than others for various reasons including excessive bleeding or even body immune responses.
-
For the next 14 days, avoid direct contact with water on the area. This means although you will wash your brows do not submerge your face in the shower or tub.
-
Always clean hands before touching your brows for any reason until healed.
-
Keep bangs and hair pulled back away from face.
-
Your brows will fade and do not stay bold as the "old school" brow tattoo.
-
It is common for some areas to fade more than others. This will be addressed at your touch up appointment.
-
The pigment color may fade 10–60% before your first touch up appointment.
-
Your follow-up procedure should be performed after 8 weeks of original procedure. Some individuals may require an additional session to complete brows.
-
If you are a smoker, your pigment will fade faster.
-
Bleaching/tinting the eyebrow hairs with tints/dyes containing peroxide will affect your tattoo and is not recommended.
-
Picking and scratching will negatively affect your results and can also result in scarring.
-
Any adjustments needed or desired can be assessed or completed during the follow up session.
-
Please keep in mind that aftercare is one of the most important things for proper retention .Other things that will negatively affect retention include but not limited to : sun exposure, working out, excessive sweating, oily skin, makeup application, body rejection, skin type, medical conditions or disorders, skin care routine .
-
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for those to those who fail to follow our Pre and Post Care Instructions. Failing to follow the above instructions will result in your artist denying your service and possibly future services. There are no implied or written guarantees, especially if you do not follow instructions!
Long-Term Care
In order to keep your brows looking their best for as long as possible, please remember the following:
-
Limit the use of exfoliation on or around the brows. This includes professional skincare treatment (such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, etc.), at home exfoliants and related products (such as acids, AHA, peels, Retin-A, Vitamin A, etc.), and use of products with lightening agents.
-
Individuals (including but not limited to) with active lifestyles, daily makeup use, work outdoors, sun/booth tanning, oily/combination skin, use certain medications, underlying conditions, and certain medical conditions, may require more frequent touch ups.
-
Keep the skin moisturized daily.
-
Use SPF when outdoors. Excessive sun exposure negatively affects tattoos life span.
-
Avoid using heavy oils on the skin.
-
Water-based moisturizers are recommended to keep the skin hydrated.
-
It is okay to use a little brow make up as a form of minor up-keep in between touch ups. Remember, microblading and permanent makeup is low maintenance, NOT no maintenance.
-
Schedule your color boost touch ups as needed. On average, Microblading/Pixelblading color boost touch ups may be needed every 6-12 months. On average, machine techniques (such as nanoblading, powder brows, and combination brows) may be needed every 12-24 months. If you are not sure if you need a color boost, feel free to send us a photo.
-
Note; If your brows are still pretty saturated we cannot simply "add pigment". Your skin is like a sponge, it can only hold so much pigment. Please be patient and allow your body to break down the pigment over time or your skin to naturally exfoliate until your brows are ready for a color boost.
-
If you have little to no pigment in your brows, THIS will not be considered a color boost touch up. You will need to start the process once again.
-
Your face is constantly exposed to the sun, this exposure can cause the pigment to shift in color as well as the way your body metabolizes the pigment deposited in your skin. This may result in needing a brow toning or color correction (kind of like your hair at the salon) &/or a color boost session.
